Rylee the Rookie!Playtime....what a beautiful picture of beautiful Rylee!

Diana’s, Casey’s, and their family’s Beauty:

Diana says, "Rylee loves the water, the snow and people. She has been such a blessing to our house. My son, Casey (11) was afraid of dogs. Had been his whole life. Cats too. A couple of years ago we finally decided that his fear was affecting his quality of life. Always looking out for dogs. We took him to a therapist for about a year and then decided that he needed a more hands on program. One of our local shelters (Helen Woodward) has a DogSmart program. Well, after about 6 sessions, Casey was not only not afraid but wanted one too. You can also see his story on Helen Woodward’s website....[click here for direct link to Casey’s story]. We passed up some cute puppies at Helen Woodward because we were not sure of their size and their temperment. Casey googled Golden Doodles in early June and there was a 3 week old litter in our area. We met the litter (of 10) decided we wanted a girl (they had 5 girls, 5 boys). Or should I say, I put my foot down and said that I wanted a girl to even out the house. At 5 weeks we picked Rylee. Casey had a little bit of a hard time with the nipping but is doing great with her now. Of course, size doesn't matter any more. She is 47 lbs and will probably grow another 15 lbs. We picked her mostly because of the disposition of the Goldens and Poodles. It's a great combination. She is one spoiled pup.

It was very interesting to read all about Casey and how he overcame his fear of dogs with the help of the Helen Woodward Animal Center...such an amazing facility, so much to offer! What a great success story, for Casey to go from fear to acceptance, and all that joy being around Rylee. It’s just really heartwarming, because animals so enrich our lives, we just can’t imagine a world without them, and now Casey is experiencing that joy...fantastic! What a great mom you are to help Casey overcome his fear. So glad it all worked out for Casey, it would be a shame to go through life without an animal friend. Hopefully, Casey can also help others with what he’s learned. We wish you all a wonderful life with your amazing Rylee!

Diana purchased a Red Dingo Dog ID Tag for her family’s special and oh-so-gorgeus Rylee.

Two beauties perfectly posing..what a great photo!Precious Little Pax!

Kristin's Beauties:

Kristin says of her three cuties, "All three of our babies are rescue doggies.:o) We got TJ first (red bandana) about a year and a half ago from a rescue in middle Tennessee....then we got Zoe (purple bandana) in August from a REALLY SCARY rescue in Kentucky, and we got Pax (the one on the left) in Alabama....so they are all from different states! ha. I didn't plan it that way, but they just stole my heart!!:o) Here is a bit about each one:

TJ - a major mama's boy, always looking for trouble.:o) He is very sweet, but also stubborn. He LOVES bones of any kind and will happily share anything with his sister Zoe...but not so much with any other dog. haha. He loves to start a chase with HUGE dogs at the dog-park, and it is hysterical to watch...he always gains a large audience of people talking about how agile he is.:o) (born September 19th, 2007)

Zoe - quite the people dog. An extreme lover....just wants to be with us at all times. She will sit on your lap for hours, watching TV, reading a book.....browsing the internet, whatever. She loves to give kisses, and she does NOT like to play with other dogs (besides TJ). She is very timid around other dogs, and very submissive. She loves to give us her belly & have it rubbed. She also LOVES meal time....she hasn't missed one yet.:o) (born June 22nd, 2008)

Pax - we are still getting to know his personality, but we just got him over a SEVERE bacterial infection, which we initially thought was parvo! We thought we were going to lose him, but I patiently nursed him back to health by feeding him with a syringe every 20-30 minutes for a week, and getting fluids inserted under his skin at the vet. It was emotionally draining, but my hard work paid off! He is a super sweet little baby...just wants to cuddle ALL the time. If he's not in your arms, he's whining at your feet.:o( He loves to give kisses...but not on the face.:o) He likes to nussle under your chin and lick your neck. He gets a bit jealous when TJ tries to give me lovin'. haha. (born November 24th, 2008)

I have always had a huge passion for animals....especially dogs.:o) I recently started volunteering at some local rescues, and I've had several foster puppies as well. Things get a bit crazy trying to do that AND working full time, so I'm kind of taking a break on the fostering. I still like to help out at the adoption events though, and talk up all the doggies to people!:o)"

Kristin, we applaud you for all you do to help the abandoned, abused and neglected animals of this world, you are truly a very special person! Thank goodness for people like you in the world! Keep up the great work for the animals!

Bless your heart for rescuing them all...you're their rescue angel! They somehow know they've been saved, and rescues make the best pets!!! We love hearing rescue stories, wish everyone would rescue at least one cat or dog. Your dogs are absolutely adorable!!! What a fabulous picture of TJ and Zoe, they are just gorgeous! And little Pax is such a cutie...and his little pal, too :-)

What a wonderful thing you did giving 3 dogs a home, they are so lucky you found them...BLESS YOUR HEART! Plain and simple....you SAVED THEIR LIVES....that must feel so good!!! Thanks for all the info, they sound like quite the characters :-) Had to laugh about TJ starting chases with the huge dogs at the dog park....can just see it :-) Zoe sounds like such a sweetie! That's too cute, giving you her belly to rub, and a sign of trust. And little guy Pax may not have made it if you hadn't found him. What you did for him is amazing, what dedication and love, it takes a very special person to do all of that....kudos to you!!! He knows what you did for him too, no doubt! Thank goodness he's now o.k. :-)

Hmmm...feel a nap coming on!Look at that beautiful face and those soulful eyes!Ahhhh...this is the life...OFF TO DREAMLAND!O.K...NAP’S OVER...RARING TO GO!

Amy Beth’s Beauty:

Amy says, "Here are some pictures of Gracie, my 5 year old American Bulldog. CRAZY ABOUT HER!!!! So sad that she will always be limited due to her acl issue, but I am happy she is so loved and well-cared for... (and THRILLED to know she will have stairs to climb into bed at night!) She is the sweetest dog on the planet... I am so lucky to have her. :)"

"Oh, she would steal your heart!! I knew nothing about Pitbulls before I adopted Gracie... only the bad things in the press. A friend of mine had a litter of puppies with her dogs in Alabama, which she brought to NJ... she BEGGED me to come see them and to adopt... I was hesitant, but the rest is history. In the last 5 years, I have learned so much about the breed... so, so sad that they are hated and feared by so many. They are the most abused, misrepresented dogs on the planet. Before Pitbulls were blacklisted, Rottweilers and Dobermans (etc, there are several breeds) carried the burden of being dangerous... they were banned in places... but the poor Pitbulls have had it worse than all of those breeds put together. Attacks by abused and neglected bullys have been so sensationalized that BSL (breed specific legislation) is becoming more and more common. The truth is, any dog can be dangerous if mishandled or abused.

Please do not think you’re being preachy, we don’t think any of us can speak up enough for not only the pitbulls but all animals....we’re their voices....so preach away!!! One look at Gracie and you can’t help but fall in love with her! And you can definitely see how much she’s loved and cared for! It doesn't matter at all the breed of a dog, and everyone should be upset about how the pitbulls are portrayed in the news, making them look so vicious. They need to find out how the dog was raised or bred....could be a case of neglect/abuse, or inbreeding (so many puppy mills, indiscriminate breeding practices, we want there to come a time when they are all shut down)!!!! And you’re right, it all depends on how they’re raised, with love and kindness... or were they abused and taught to fight (for purposes of dog fighting). See, with you, you raised Gracie with love, and look at the wonderful dog she is, all because of you! Bless your heart for ignoring everything you’d heard about pitbulls and taking a chance and opening up your heart to Gracie!! We say rally and preach on, for in this world the animals have no choice, they have no voice!!! Our hearts go out to pitbulls who are feared just because of their breed, that’s just not right, and we all have to work together to change that negative perception and fight against Breed Specific Legislation! Take care, Gracie, we think you’re absolutely GORGEOUS and VERY special!!!

Amy Beth purchased 3-Step Pet Steps for her sweet Gracie, to assist her up to the bed, which is necessary because of her acl condition....and also a Plum Gingham collar. Amy Beth says, "I received the collar yesterday and it's adorable. I put it on her and she did her ‘bully wiggle’ all around the room to show it off! :)" LOL "bully wiggle"....too cute!
