THE FAB FIVE!!!

Torry’s Beauties:

Torry says, "Jack is 16 yrs old and is an Australian Koolie (herding breed from Australia).

Jill is 7 yrs old and is an Australian Koolie and mate to Jack. She came to the USA at 12 wks from Australia for Jack.

Trooper is 4 yrs old and is an Australian Koolie and son of Jack & Jill. We have a website with all kinds of details about the Koolie breed (check out our Koolie page on our website Heavy Horse Hills ... link in upper right hand corner). Our dogs actively work cattle, sheep, ducks, geese, goats….you name it.

Speckles is an Australian Blue Heeler or Cattle Dog rescued from being put to sleep because of supposed fear biting….in truth she just needed a job….and does great now, as she works stock.

Major is a Shepherd mix that was hit by a car and left on the side of the road.  He was found by my husband while on shift checking fire hydrants with the fire department. His leg was severally fractured so our options were a $4,000 surgery or amputation……we opted for surgery and 4 legs. And that is the very abbreviated version of my doggie family.

Also have a Belgian Draft horse (Zeus) and a Clydesdale Draft horse (Nero) as you will see on our Heavy Horse Hills website that we use in our horse drawn carriage business……add to that the ducks, geese and other animals we have at one time or another for the dogs to play with and we have a pretty large farm."

They're all soooo beautiful! So happy and healthy, and one look at the photo and you can see how smart they are!!  You must be so proud of your babies!  Love those ears :-) And you are awesome for what you did, rescuing Speckles and Major, bless you! We love hearing happy-ending rescue stories!!!  Also so wonderful to learn about Jack, Jill and their son, Trooper.   What an amazing life you've given them all!  They must absolutely love it on the farm.  Lucky dogs!!

Torry purchased Red Dingo Dog ID Tags, a dog collar/leash set (this item is no longer available), and Personalized Dog Bowls for her band of beauties

007 - Cat of Mystery!!!

Stephanie’s Beauty:

Stephanie says, "I’ve attached a birthday photo of OO (short for OO7). Of course, I think he’s the cutest boy in the world and I have 8 million pictures of him. This one is rare because he’s not trying to hide from the paparazzi (He starts squinting as soon as he sees me grab the camera).

OO is excellent! He is black with white markings on his stomach. He just turned 13 and is a Siamese mix, so he is VERY verbal. However, he has also developed other ways to communicate.
-When he wakes me early every morning because he’s hungry (even though he knows what time he will be fed), he does so by tapping his paw gently on my mouth, over and over. If I pull the pillow over my head, he burrows under and touches his little nose to mine and meows in my face.
-When he has decided I’ve spent enough time on the laptop, he nonchalantly scents it with his cheeks and "accidently" closes it with a look of great surprise.
-He is also very good at hitting buttons on the landline phone until he hangs it up when he believes I’m done with a call, whether I actually am or not.
-He was especially irritated with me for sleeping in this morning, so he opened the linen cupboard, dragged a washcloth out onto the floor and closed the door (the doors on the cupboard do not seal).
-He’s an excellent navigator. Whenever we are returning from the vet, he pops his little head out of his carrier as soon as we turn on our street. I have no idea how he does this!
-He sleeps in a bed on my bed, and when he wants more room he snuggles against me and pushes at me until I move over.
-He only lets me pet his little white stomach.
-One of my absolute favorite things is how he wraps his entire body around my arm, putting his little head in my hand and goes to sleep. No matter the muscles cramps or how often my arm falls asleep, it is fabulous!"

What a great name for your kitty, OO7...love it!   Thank you for sending the photo of OO7, what an absolutely handsome boy....awesome picture!!!  What beautiful eyes!!!  LOVE black cats!!!  Funny what he does when you get out the camera.....we have similar problems whenever we try to take Maya’s picture....if we see her in a really adorable position, we have to sneak the camera out of the draw, and of course the minute we open the lens shutter, she’s up and out of the adorable position, so needless to say we don’t have as many pictures of Maya as you have of OO7.  He definitely does not look 13, it must be all the love and attention you shower on him :-)  It was fun to read all about him.  He sounds absolutely adorable, enchanting, hilarious, and too smart for his own good :-)  Aren’t cats grand!

Stephanie purchased a Pioneer Pet® Stainless Steel Pet Drinking Fountain for her black beauty.
